Vineyard School of Discipleship: Winter 2020

GOING DEEPER IN BIBLE STUDY
Facilitator - Michelle Klein

The Bible was not designed to be read casually as simply good literature, as a contribution to our historical learning, or even as an interesting exercise in academic theology. The Bible was given to us specifically for transformation. Jesus prayed to the father in John 17:17, “Use the truth to make them complete. Your Word is truth.” Transformation only occurs when we truly KNOW God’s Word and not just have knowledge of God’s Word. As we grow in Christ, it’s important that we learn to dig deep into the Word of God for ourselves and not depend solely on the instruction of others. This class will teach you how to dig deep into Scripture and uncover profound truths that, when grasped, can transform your life in ways you’ve never imagined.

HEARING THE VOICE OF GOD
Facilitator - Aisha Oyarekhua

One of the greatest benefits of our salvation is that God speaks to us personally. There can be no intimate
relationship with our heavenly Father without it. But, as easy as it is for us to speak to Him, the average Christian has a hard time hearing His voice. This is not the way the Lord intended it to be. Hearing the voice of God is
absolutely indispensable to a victorious Christian life. The Bible makes it clear that we were created to have two-way communication with Him. Jesus tells us in John 10:27, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." Learning to clearly distinguish God’s voice is invaluable. Instead of going through life blindly, we can have the wisdom of God to guide and protect us. This class will teach you how to hear God’s voice.
